Double stakes success for Jamaican Bridgmohan

Jamaican jockey Shaun Bridgmohan continued his stakes-winning streak from last year, when he captured two big-money events at the weekend at Fair Grounds in Louisiana, USA.



Bridgmohan captured the US$100,000 co-feature Silver Bullet Day Stakes aboard Bouquet Booth, after earlier taking the US$60,000 F.W. Gaudin Memorial Stakes astride Early Return to carry his tally of stakes wins in the United States for the year to three.



Last year, the 30-year-old from Spanish Town in Jamaica was the most successful stakes-winning jockey in North American racing from the Caribbean, with 20 feature events under his saddle, six more than ace Barbadian reinsman Patrick Husbands.
