Tivoli are sole leader of Premiership

Tivoli Gardens are sole leaders of the Digicel Premier League following yesterday’s round of third round matches.
The former champions moved two points clear atop the table after defeating 10-man Village United 1-0 and Portmore United, who entered the day as joint leaders, were beaten 2-0 by visitors Village United at Ferdie Neita Park.
Portmore United have slipped to third place following the loss.
Defender Kasai Hinds handed Tivoli victory when he headed home two minutes before full time.
With the victory, Tivoli Gardens have climbed to 44 points, two ahead of Boys’ Town, who moved to 42 points after a 1-0 away win over Humble Lion at Effortville Community Centre in Clarendon.
Waterhouse moved to fourth place on 40 points after cruising to a 4-0 victory over Benfica at Drewsland Stadium, while defending champions Harbour View were relegated to fifth following a goalless draw with last place St Georges at Lynch Park in Portland.
In the day’s other game, seventh place Arnett Gardens were held to a 1-1 draw by eight place Reno at Anthony Spaulding Complex.
