August Town Primary whip George Headley

August Town Primary whipped George Headley Primary 5-1 yesterday to record the biggest victory in the opening round of the all-island LIME/INSPORTS Primary League football competition.



The match was the first game of a triple-header at the National Stadium East field.



Jamalie McLeod led August Town Primary with a hat trick, while Nickoli Woods scored twice and Ronoldo Walker got the lone goal for George Headley.



In the other games, Rollington Town Primary blanked Jessie Ripoll Primary 3-0 through goals from Fabrizzo Burton, Romario Tomlinson and Shamar Griffiths, while Holy Family Primary edged Dunrobin Primary 1-0.



Romaine Bowners scored the goal for Holy Family Primary.



The competition continues this morning with a double header at Prison Oval in Spanish Town.



The games are Independence City playing Waterford Primary at 10 a.m. and Old Harbour Primary facing Horizon Park Primary at 11.45 p.m.
