JFF settles contract for national players
The Jamaica Football Federation(JFF)and players’ representatives – the Premier League Clubs Association – have now settled on a new four-year contract for local-based senior national players.
An agreement between the parties was reached just a month after the national players refused to sign contracts, as they were not pleased with certain issues.
A release from the JFF shows amendments and additions to the new contract.
The new contract now stated that the Players’ Image and Rights would remain the property of the players.
There is also an addition that a player may terminate the Agreement by giving at least 60 days written notice to the JFF.
Another addition is that players selected in the final training squad of a World Cup Qualifying game and not selected in the final 18 would be entitled to 25 percent of the incentives for the game.
There is also an increased in players’ per diem.
