Tivoli ‘A’, JAMALCO to contest Open League final

A new champion will be crowned in the Jamaica National Building Society/ Jamaica Netball Association Open League as Waulgrovians ‘A’ were knocked out at the semi-final stage last night at the Leila Robinson Courts.



Waulgrovians ‘A’ lost 36-32 to Tivoli ‘A’ in the first semi-final in the Elite Group.



Cleopatra Grant led Tivoli ‘A’ with 25 goals from 34 attempts and Jodi-Ann Ffrench supported with 11 from 15.



For Waulgrovians ‘A’ Janielle Fowler had 22 goals from 32 attempts and Simone Forbes scored 10 from 15.



Tivoli ‘A’ will face JAMALCO in the final scheduled for tomorrow. JAMALCO booked their place by defeating WINDALCO 28-24.



For JAMALCO, Elaine Davis had seven from 14 attempts, Naudia Brown 3 from 6, Nadine Bryan 8 from 11 and Margarett Lawence 10 from 11.



Anna Kay Griffiths led WINDALCO with 16 goals from 24 attempts and Taniesha Hibbert 8 from 11.



Meanwhile, UWI Revolution and Mico ‘A’ will contest the ‘B’ Group final. The semi-finals were also played last night at Leila Robinson Courts.



UWI Revolution qualified following a 27-23 victory over Tivoli ‘B’ while Mico ‘A’ defeated G C Foster Strikers ‘A’ 23-15.
