Jamaica versus Guyana in Regional cricket
Champions Jamaica, sent in to bat by Guyana, were struggling at 63 for three at Sports Time on the opening day of their first round match in the West Indies Cricket Board Regional four-day tournament at Alpart Sports Club in St Elizabeth.
Debutant Simon Jackson 26, Marlon Samuels 13 and Danza Hyatt 3 are the batsmen back in the pavilion.
West Indies player Brendan Nash is not out on 13 and captain Tamar Lambert is undefeated on five.
Over at Warner Park in St Kitts, England Lions, batting after winning the toss, reached 97 for two at the interval in their game against the Leeward Islands.
Adam Lyth has so far top scored for the English side with 55, while Ravi Bopoara is 26 not out.
Over at the three W’s Oval in Barbados, Combined Campuses and Colleges, choosing to bat, were struggling at 73 for five at the lunch interval against the Windward Islands.
Kerron Cottoy has so far taken two for 12.
Over at Guaracara Park in Trinidad, no play was possible in the first session between Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados because of rain.
