Tim Bresnan to play in World Cup

England seam bowler Tim Bresnan will play in this month's World Cup having recovered from a calf injury.

Bresnan tore a calf muscle in the second one-day international against Australia in January and was forced to sit out the rest of the series.

England have struggled with injuries to their bowlers, while batsman Eoin Morgan is a doubt with a broken finger.

England open their World Cup campaign against Holland on February 22, with Morgan the main injury concern after a fractured finger on his left hand ruled him out of yesterday’s final one-dayer with Australia.

The Aussies won the final game by 57 runs in Perth to take the series 6-1.
