Wilmot/Simmonds win JSA junior championship

11 year old Ivah Wilmot of Bull Bay in St. Andrew and 17 year old Shane Simmonds of Boston Bay in Portland won the opening event of the Jamaica Surfing Association’s 2008 National Junior Championship series at the weekend.



Wilmot took the Under 16 honours and Simmonds’ victory came in the Under 18 division.



The event took place at the Makka Surfing Beach in South Haven, Yallahs in St. Thomas.



The next event in the series will be held at the Copa Surfing Beach in Bull Bay on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m.
