Australian duo Mike Hussey and Nathan Hauritz have been ruled out of the Cricket World Cup through injury.

Batsman Hussey has a ruptured hamstring while spinner Hauritz dislocated his shoulder in the second one-day game against England on January 21.

Callum Ferguson and Jason Krejza have been named as their replacements.

Captain Ricky Ponting expects to be fit for the tournament, which will be held in Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka, after recovering from a broken finger.

Australia start the defence of their title at the six-week World Cup against Zimbabwe on February 21.

Meanwhile, England have called Ravi Bopara into their World Cup squad after Eoin Morgan was ruled out with a broken finger.

Morgan missed the seventh and final one-day international against Australia with the injury he first noticed during the fourth game in Adelaide, Australia.

Morgan's injury is the latest in a series of problems that have affected England's limited-overs squad.

The bowling division has been worst hit with Graeme Swann, Tim Bresnan, Ajmal Shahzad, Chris Tremlett and all-rounder Paul Collingwood returned home early from the Australia tour.
