The Premier of Nevis, Joseph Parry, has rejected accusations by the main opposition party that his Nevis Reformation Party has made attempts to pad the island’s voters’ list.
The opposition Concerned Citizens Movement alleges that people who are normally resident in St Kitts are being encouraged by the Nevis Island to register for the polls.
The charge follows the recent publication of the voters' list.
The opposition is contending that the move is illegal.
Nevis is due to hold elections later this year.
