West Indies player Brendan Nash, who picked up a hamstring injury during Jamaica’s 165-run victory over Guyana on Monday, has retained his place in the 13-man squad for the second round of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Regional First-Class Championship.

Nash, who retired hurt on 25 in Jamaica’s second innings against Guyana on Sunday, passed a fitness test yesterday and is now in Grenada with the squad.

Jamaica will face Windward Islands at Queen’s Park Stadium in the second round, which bowls off on Friday.

By virtue of the first round victory, Jamaica have joined England Lions and Combined Campuses and Colleges atop the table with 12 points.

England Lions and Combined Campuses and Colleges recorded outright victories on the third day.

The remaining second round games are Guyana against Leeward Islands at Bourda Oval in Guyana; T&T facing Combined Campuses and Colleges at UWI Sports & Physical Education in Trinidad and Barbados playing England Lions at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
