More than 80,000 registered voters in Grenada are expected to go to the polls today to select a new government.

At least 40 candidates are contesting the 15 parliamentary seats in the election.

Incumbent Prime Minister Keith Mitchell will be seeking a fourth straight term in office.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is suggesting that it has been able to effectively make its case to succeed the Mitchell administration this time around.

Opposition Leader Tillman Thomas said the question of good governance, was one of the key campaign pillars that the NDC leaned on as it travelled the country in search of votes.
