Stephenson moves from Norway to MLS’s Earthquakes

Reggae Boy Khari Stephenson will make a permanent move to Major League Soccer in the United States to play for the San Jose Earthquakes.
General Manager of the Earthquakes John Doyle says the Jamaican midfielder will return to the Buck Shaw Stadium to boost the club’s attacking options.
Stephenson joined the Quakes last August on loan from Aalesunds FK of Norway’s top league, and quickly established himself as a playmaking central midfielder for San Jose.
His performance helped the club to finish sixth in the Western Conference and eighth overall to earn them a maiden trip into the MLS Cup playoffs, where they reached the semi-finals.
It was the club’s best performance, since the team was re-established two years earlier.
The Earthquakes open the MLS season on March 19 at Real Salt Lake.
