Robert Bryan resigns

The Paul Campbell-led Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) received a major setback ahead of the upcoming Annual General Meeting as Chief Executive Officer Robert Bryan has tendered his resignation with immediate effect.
Campbell, who is president of the JCA, confirmed Bryan’s resignation last night but declined to comment.
Brian took up the appointment with the JCA after having signed a two-year contract, which took effect on August 4, 2010.
At the time, he had replaced Sri Lanka-born Diyal Fernando, who had served in the position for only four months, but was relieved of duties because he never met the JCA’s expectations.
Bryan was also the CEO of the local organising committee for the International Cricket Council Cricket World Cup staged in the West Indies in 2007.
