T&T trying to qualify for quarterfinal round
Caribbean team Trinidad and Tobago will be trying to become the first Group-C qualifier in the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship this afternoon when they oppose Guatemala at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay.
The match is scheduled to start at 4.30 p.m. and is the second of a double-header as Group-D teams Canada and Barbados are now facing each other in the first game.
T&T and host nation Jamaica lead the table on a point each after they battled to a 2-2 draw in their opening game on Tuesday.
It will be the first game for Guatemala. Jamaica will play their final preliminary round match against Guatemala on Saturday.
The top four teams in the 11-nation competition, after the withdrawal of Haiti, will qualify for the FIFA Under-17 Boys’ World Cup in June in Mexico.
