Trainer ‘Bigga’ Gordon is dead

Racing lost one of its veteran trainers with the passing of Lloyd ‘Bigga’ Gordon on Wednesday morning.



He died at the University of the West Indies Hospital after a short illness at age 60.



Gordon conditioned horses at Caymanas Park for 30 years, but he always kept a small string. He saddled three winners last year, the last of which was Ergasia on December 22, over 1600 metres, as the favourite.



He has saddled 74 winners in his career.
