Jamaican Aikens leads Firebirds to victory

Jamaican goalshooter Romelda Aiken scored 28 goals from 37 attempts to lead Queensland Firebirds to a narrow 50-49 victory over New South Wales Swifts in the ANZ Championship in Brisbane, Australia yesterday.
It was the opening game for Queensland Firebirds.
At the Canterbury Arena in Christchurch, New Zealand, Canterbury Tactix with explosive Jamaican defender Kasey Evering lost 54-48 to West Coast Fever.
