Jamaican Williams-Mills finishes third in women’s 400

Jamaican Novlene Williams-Mills was the only Caribbean competitor to reach the podium at the 2011 Galan Indoor Permit Meet at Stockholm in Sweden yesterday.



Williams-Mills clocked a sluggish 52.91 seconds to finish third in the women’s 400 metres.



The race was won by Denisa Rosolova of the Czech Republic who clocked 52.64 seconds, with Antonina Krivoshapka of Russia just one hundredths-of-a-second behind.
