Host nation Jamaica last night failed in their attempt to reach the final of the CONCACAF Under-17 World Cup Qualifiers when they were beaten 2-nil by defending champions United States in the second semi-final at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.
It was the only defeat of the qualifiers for the Young Reggae Boyz, who on Wednesday qualified for this summer’s FIFA Under-17 World Cup after defeating Honduras 2-1 in the quarterfinal.
The United States will now face Canada in the final, scheduled for Sunday at the same venue. Canada advanced to the final following a one-nil victory over Panama in the first semi-final.
The four semi-finalists qualified for the Under-17 World Cup.
