Samuels hammers another ton

Marlon Samuels enhanced his chances of a recall to the West Indies side when he scored his third hundred for Jamaica in the West Indies Cricket Board’s Regional first-class championship against Leeward Islands yesterday.



The 30-year-old Samuels was undefeated on a chanceless 143, as Jamaica reached 332 for three in their first innings on the opening day of the fourth round match at Warner Park in St Kitts.



The other not out batsman is captain Tamar Lambert, who resumes today’s second day on seven.



Over at the Three Ws Oval in Barbados, England Lions, choosing to bat, will resume today on 260 for four against Combined Campuses and Colleges in their top-of-the-table clash.



Over at the Guyana National Stadium, Guyana, sent in to bat, will resume their first innings on 176 for three against Barbados.



And over at the Arnos Vale Multi-Purpose Complex in St Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago, sent in to bat will resume today’s second day on 172 for five against the Windward Islands.
