The Caribbean Tourism Organisation is reporting that the regional tourism industry is showing positive signs of growth following a downturn in 2009.

The body made the announcement today at its annual summit in Barbados.

The CTO announced that arrival numbers to the Caribbean are rising and that hotels are seeing gradual increases in revenues.

CTO Chair, Ricky Skerrit, said barring any international or regional unforeseen economic or social trauma this year, the indicators of Caribbean tourism performance should continue to move in a positive direction.
