PM defends free movement

The Prime Minister of Barbados, David Thompson is defending his government\'s commitment to the free movement for professionals under the CARICOM Single Market.
Mr. Thompson said there are issues about the country’s ability to handle large numbers of migrants.
Mr. Thompson has advocated a policy of managed migration for Barbados.
Speaking during his government’s first budget debate, Mr. Thompson said he was worried about the conditions in which illegal migrants were sometimes forced to live in Barbados.
He said this was against the rule of the government.
