West Indies, England face off

West Indies and England will meet in a key Group-B fixture of the Cricket World Cup in Chennai, India tomorrow. The game is scheduled to bowl off at 4 a.m. Jamaica time.



The Caribbean side will go into the match with six points from four matches and England on five from as many outings.



The Caribbean side has found itself in a winning grove ever since losing its opening game of the campaign to South Africa three weeks ago, scoring handsome victories over the Netherlands, Bangladesh and Ireland.



England, despite their miserable form, will present a stronger challenge but coach Ottis Gibson says his side will be looking to sustain its impressive winning form when the two teams meet at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.



England will enter the match under pressure as they face a must-win situation in order to advance to the quarterfinals. This will be the final game for England, while West Indies have India to play after today’s game.



Chris Gayle will return to the West Indies line up after missing the game against Ireland, while England captain Andrew Strauss and key spinner Graeme Swann are expected to recover from their stomach upsets.



West Indies, England, Bangladesh and India are fighting for the other top-four berths in the group after South Africa qualified yesterday with victory over Ireland.
