Caroline Wozniacki, Bartoli in Indian Wells final
Top seed Caroline Wozniacki destroyed Maria Sharapova to reach the final of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, where she will face Marion Bartoli.
The Danish world number one broke her error-prone Russian opponent three times in each set to triumph 6-1, 6-2.
Bartoli, meanwhile, reached her first WTA final in two years after thrashing Belgium's Yanina Wickmayer 6-1, 6-3.
In the men’s tournament, world number one Rafael Nadal withstood a barrage of power serving by Croat Ivo Karlovic to reach the semi-finals.
The Spanish two-time champion eventually won 5-7, 6-1, 7-6.
Nadal will next meet Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro who earned a place in the last four after Tommy Robredo withdrew because of a strained left abductor muscle.
The other semi-finals will feature Roger Federer against Novak Djokovic.
