Young reggae girls head to T&T

Jamaica’s young female footballers are scheduled to depart the island this afternoon at 2 p.m. for Trinidad and Tobago. The team will take part in the 2008 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 championships.



The young Reggae Girls, drawn in Group ‘B’, will play their first game against Mexico on Thursday.



Jamaica will play its second game on Saturday against Canada and close the preliminary round against Puerto Rico on Monday, July 21.



The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals on Thursday, July 24.



Group ‘A’ includes Costa Rica, United States, El Salvador and hosts Trinidad and Tobago.
