Caricom has called on the United Kingdom to support a review of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), reached recently between Cariforum and the European Union.
This is one of the main issues being discussed this week, at a meeting between Caricom foreign ministers and their UK counterpart.
Caricom Chairman Baldwin Spencer said while Caricom countries intend to sign the agreement there are areas of concern, which they want the government in London to help them review.
Guyana\'s President Bharrat Jagdeo raised concerns about the agreement, and said his government will not be signing up to it fully, as was expected at the end of this month.
Aid agencies have also said that the EPA will put the region at a disadvantage.
