The controversial Air Passenger Duty (APD), which was due to be increased in November will not be increased this year.

According to the BBC,the British finance minister is expected to make that announcement in his budget presentation tomorrow.

A number of key Caribbean tourism players, along with British airlines and tour operators have lobbied the British government against increases in the APD saying it hurts Caribbean tourism.

However, the government will announce an air passenger duty for private jets, a move that is expected to cost executive flyers tens of millions of pounds per year.
