Former Grenadian Attorney General Dr Francis Alexis has criticised the Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister for her staunch defense of the London-based Privy Council.

Dr Alexis who is also a constitutional lawyer says Kamala Persad-Bissessar is wrong to argue that the Privy Council's distance from the Caribbean gives it greater balance.

Dr Alexis also said arguments such as those put forward by the Trinidadian leader would leave the region looking stupid if the Privy Council cuts its links with the Caribbean.
