Guyana has secure water supply

Guyana has been ranked among a list of countries worldwide with the most secure water supplies.



The ranking seeks to quantify factors such as population growth, dependence on supplies from abroad and current water intensity in the economy.



The release of the rankings coincided with the observance of World Water Day.



The list, published by the British risk analysis group Maplecroft, indicates that businesses need to make more account of water security in investment decisions due to factors including the rising demand from growing population and climate change.
