Boyz friendly match set for Tuesday
The Reggae Boyz’s friendly international football match in El Salvador, which was set for yesterday, will now take place tomorrow.
The match was pushed back because the players were unable to depart on Saturday from Montego Bay because of a cancellation of their American Airline flight.
The Boyz were then rebooked to travel yesterday morning, with the hope of reaching San Salvador in time for the 5 p.m. match, but the airline later cancelled the morning flight.
The cancellations were due to the effects of last week’s fuel tank fire at Miami International Airport, which affected air traffic at one of the main destination in the United States.
The change in date gives the Boyz more time to recover from their 2-0 home defeat to Venezuela on Friday night at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.
The Reggae Boyz are preparing for the upcoming Gold Cup tournament in the United States.
