Barbadian to miss regional series

Barbadian Ametza Nicholls has withdrawn from the third round of the Caribbean Surf Network’s four-event regional series because of injury.



The third round will take place in Jamaica at the Makka Surfing Beach in Yallahs. The three-day event will begin tomorrow.



Nicholls, who is leading the women’s open section after victories in Trinidad and Barbados, sustained the injury while competing in France at the Quik Silver World Junior Championships in May.



Two other top surfers will also miss the third leg. They are Trinidadian Jason Apparicio and Chris Dennis.
