Reigning 100-metre girls sprint champion Michelle Lee Ahye will spearhead a strong 66-member Trinidad and Tobago squad at this month’s CARIFTA Games in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The contingent was named on Wednesday night after last weekend’s CARIFTA trials at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.
Ahye leads a squad that also includes Under-17 sprinter Nicholas Douglas, Under-20 quarter-miler Deon Lendore and distance runner Mark London.
The overseas based Kai Selvon, in her final year at the regional Games, will join Ahye in the Under-20 sprint campaign while distance hurdler Kernesha Spann is expected to be a strong contender in that age category.
