West Indies off to a good start in ODI

West Indies, electing to bat in the opening One-Day International of the five-match Series against Pakistan, reached 186 for six after 47 overs at the Beausejour Cricket Stadium in St Lucia.



Darren Bravo has so far top scored for the hosts with 67 from 109 balls.

Earlier, Saeed Ajmal had Lendl Simmons caught for 24, Mohammad Hafeez dismissed Devon Smith for 17, in-form Jamaican batsman Marlon Samuels was run out for 2, while Wahab Riaz had Kirk Edwards caught for 28.



Allrounder Dwayne Bravo was dismissed for 14.



Chris Gayle, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Kieron Pollard are all missing from the West Indies line-up; while Umar Gul, Younis Khan and Kamran Akmal are out of Pakistan squad.
