Jamaica add to medal tally

Jamaican High School athletes have accounted for three gold medals on today’s final day of the three-day Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Pennyslvani.



The first gold came from Wolmer’s Boys in the High School Boys 4 by 100-metre Championship of America. The quartet of Ramone Bailey, Odean Skeen, Julian Forte and Yanick Hart easily took the event in 40 point 4-2 seconds.



Jamaica dominated the event by occupying the first six places, with Munro College, 40 point 5-2 seconds, taking the silver and Kingston College the bronze medal in a time of 40 point 6-2 seconds.



The other gold medals were won by Kemarki Absalom of St George’s in the High School Boys' High Jump Championship after clearing 2 point 0-6 metres and Kingston College’s Jerome Wilson in the Long Jump Championship, who registered a jump of 7 point 4-1 metres.



Kingston College had a one-two finish as Clive Pullen took the silver medal with a leap of 7 point 2-6 metres and Adam Cummings of Munro College took the bronze by registering 7 point 2-4 metres.
