Man U defeat Chelsea, move closer to premiere league title

Manchester United moved within a point of securing a record 19th hold on the English Premier League after recording an impressive 2-1 win over title rivals and defending champions Chelsea at Old Trafford today.



Mexican striker, Javier Hernandes gave United the lead after 37 seconds. They went two nil up minutes later when defender Nemanja Vidic headed home from close range, as the home team took control of the game.



Chelsea pegged one back through midfielder Frank Lampard in the 68th minute, but it was a case of too little too late. The win moved United to 76 points, six clear of Chelsea with two rounds of matches remaining.
