Rampaul gives Windies slight edge

West Indies will be looking to wrap up the Pakistan’s first innings very early when the second and final Test continues this morning at Warner Park in St Kitts with the visitors on 180 for 6.



Ravi Rampaul destroyed Pakistan’s top order on yesterday’s first day to give West Indies the advantage.



Rampaul ended the first day with figures of three for 40 off 18 point 2 overs, while captain Darren Sammy had one for 50 off 20 overs and Devendra Bishoo, one for 55 off 19 overs.



Mohammad Salman 8 and Abdur Rehman 1 are the batsmen at the crease. Azhar Ali 67 and Umar Akmal 56 scored half-centuries for the visitors.



West Indies have left out Shiv Chanderpaul, who is carrying a sore shoulder, and included Jamaican Marlon Samuels, while handing teenager Kraigg Brathwaite his Test debut.



The hosts lead the series 1-nil after beating Pakistan by 40 runs inside four days last Sunday in Guyana.
