Shelly Ann Fraser, Carmelita Jeter to face off

Reigning Olympic and World Champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Nesta Carter are among nine Jamaicans down to compete at today’s Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, USA, the fourth stop of the Samsung Diamond League series.
Fraser-Pryce will face off with American Carmelita Jeter in the women’s 100-metre dash set for 12:06 p.m. The race also includes two other Jamaicans – Kerron Stewart and Sherone Simpson.
Carter will headline the men’s field, which also includes his Jamaican teammates Michael Frater and Steve Mullings. That race is scheduled to start at 12:15 p.m.
Diamond League champion Kaliese Spencer and Olympic and World champion Melaine Walker will be the first Jamaicans in action when they face off in the women’s 400 metres hurdles at 11:03 a.m.
The other Jamaican down to compete is Shericka Williams who will run in the women’s 400 metres at 12:39 p.m.
