Al-Qaida warns US

The al-Qaida terrorist network has issued a warning to the United States of America that the US is still a major target.

The BBC reported that the new threat, posted on Jihadist websites, was attributed to Ayman al-Zawahiri, al-Qaida's second in command.

The threat was issued five weeks after US forces killed the al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, and less than a week after another prominent figure, Ilyas Kashmiri, died in a US drone attack.

This is the first time al-Zawahiri has spoken publicly since Osama's killing.
