Jamaica’s senior Reggae Boyz returned to the island yesterday after playing to a goalless draw with El Salvador in their friendly football international at Pizza Hut Park in Texas, USA on Saturday.

The game was used as a warm-up match ahead of the Reggae Boyz’ qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa.

Jamaica will begin its campaign against Canada when the CONCACAF semi-final round qualifiers start on August 20. El Salvador will face Costa Rica.

The Jamaicans are in Group ‘B’ with Mexico, Honduras and Canada, while El Salvador will play alongside Costa Rica, Haiti and Suriname in Group ‘C’.

Group ‘A’ has Trinidad and Tobago, USA, Guatemala and Cuba.

The semi-final round will run from August 20 to November 19.

The top two teams from each of the three groups will move on to the final round between February 11 and October 14 next year. The final round will qualify three teams to the World Cup finals.
