India take unbeaten 3-nil lead over Windies

Jamaican all-rounder Andre Russell scored his maiden half-century, but it wasn’t enough as West Indies suffered a three-wicket defeat to India in the third One-Day International at the Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua today.



As a result of the victory, India have taken an unassailable 3-nil lead in the five-match series.



Sent in to bat, West Indies were restricted to 225 for eight with Russell scoring an entertaining 92 not out from 62 deliveries.



And India replied with 228 for seven off 46 point 2 overs with Rohit Sharma leading the way with an undefeated 86. Devendra Bishoo and captain Darren Sammy ended with two wickets each.



The fourth and penultimate match will take place on Monday at the same venue.
