Jamaica, Honduras face off in top-of-the-table clash
A number of changes will be made to Jamaica’s starting line-up when they face Honduras for top honours in Group ‘B’ of the Gold Cup in the United States tonight.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 8 o’clock Jamaica time and will be the second match of a double-header at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.
Dwayne Miller will replace Donovan Ricketts in goal, while Adrian Reid, Omar Daley, Damion Williams, Keammar Daley and Jevaughn Watson will also be given starting role.
The Reggae Boyz have already sealed their place in the quarterfinals after whipping Guatemala 2-0 on Friday night. They lead the group with maximum six points, two ahead of Honduras.
The group winner will play the Group ‘C’ runner-up; while second place will have to face the second-place team from Group ‘A’, which is Costa Rica.
Honduras only need a draw to book their place. The opening contest features Guatemala, who are on a point, tackling already eliminated Grenada.
