Fresh demonstrations erupt in Syria

The BBC is reporting that fresh demonstrations against the regime of president Bashar al-Assad have erupted across Syria.



According to reports at least 18 people have been killed by security forces.



The BBC says the worst violence was reported in Homs, while activists said one protestor was killed in Aleppo.



Earlier, the Syrian army reportedly moved into two northern towns as it sought to end months of anti-government protests.
