Tropical storm kills 17 in Mexico

At least 17 people have been killed in Mexico and thousands of others have been affected since Thursday as a result of Tropical Storm Arlene.
Juan Carlos Orantes, the director of emergencies with the country's civil protection agency says victims ranged in age from 12 to 65 years old.
The Mexican official said the death toll is expected to rise as investigators work to confirm other incidents in the state of Oaxaca.
Tropical Storm Arlene is the first named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season.
