Alleged victim in Strauss-Kahn case files suit against NY Post

The alleged victim in the Dominique Strauss-Kahn sexual assault case has filed a libel suit against the New York Post and five of its reporters after the newspaper reported that the woman was a prostitute.



The woman, a native of Guinea who has not been identified publicly, accused the newspaper of publishing articles with false and defamatory information in an effort to bolster sales.



Her attorney filed the claim in New York's Bronx state Supreme Court yesterday.



Suzi Halpin, a spokeswoman for the New York Post, says the newspaper stands by its reports.
