Bolt, Campbell Brown to compete in Paris

Double record holder Usain Bolt and Veronica Campbell-Brown are among nine Jamaicans who will compete at the Samsung Diamond League meeting in Paris on Friday.



Bolt is down to run the men’s 200 metres, his first race over the distance since he clocked the year’s fastest time of 19.86 to win in Oslo, Norway on June 10. The race also includes his countryman Mario Forsythe.



Campbell-Brown headlines the women’s 100-metre field, which also includes Kerron Stewart.



The MVP trio of Melaine Walker, Kaliese Spencer and young rising star Ristananna Tracey are listed to compete in the women’s 400 metre hurdles.



The other Jamaicans down to compete are national record holder Jermaine Gonzales in the men’s 400 metres and Kenia Sinclair in the women’s 800.



Meanwhile, Kerron Stewart is also down to run in the Diamond League meeting in Birmingham on Sunday. Stewart will run in the women’s 200 metres.



Nine other Jamaicans, including former world record holder Asafa Powell, Nesta Carter and Michael Frater, are also scheduled to compete in Birmingham.



Also down to compete are Novlene Williams-Mills, Shericka Williams and Rosemarie Whyte in the Women’s 400 metres.
