Jamaica face Barbados in final round of matches

The final round of the West Indies Under-15 Cricket Championship in Trinidad bowls off today with Jamaica strongly poised to dethrone Trinidad and Tobago.



The Jamaicans, who finished second last year, enter the final round atop the points’ table. They will face Barbados at Inshan Ali Park.



Jamaica climbed top of the table following an easy 133-run victory over Leeward Islands at Gilbert Park in the fourth and penultimate round, which ended on Tuesday.



In the remaining final round games, champions Trinidad and Tobago and Leeward Islands will face off at the National Cricket Centre, while Guyana will play Windward Islands at Honeymoon Park.



This year’s championships are being played under a new format. The new format involves a 30-over first innings to be played on the first day and a minimum 60-over second innings on the second day.
