Jamaican striker White ready for comeback

Jamaican striker O’Brian White is back into the line-up of US Major League side Seattle Sounders following injury.
White was removed from the Sounders’ disabled list this week, after being cleared by medical personnel, following surgery to treat a dangerous blood clot earlier in the season.
The 25-year-old White could make his comeback to action as early as Saturday, when the Sounders host the Colorado Rapids.
White noticed the injury when he experienced periodic numbness in the leg during Seattle’s training sessions.
After initially self-diagnosing the numbness as a reaction to cold weather, White went to team doctors for assistance, and an ultrasound discovered the clot deep in his left thigh.
In April, White underwent emergency surgery to remove the potentially life-threatening blood clot in his left leg.
At the time, he was one of Sounders FC’s best attackers, leading the team with two goals and two assists in seven starts.
