Jamaica takes control in first round of cricket

Jamaica have taken control of their first round TCL Group West Indies Under-19 Challenge match against Trinidad and Tobago at Everest in Guyana.
The Jamaicans, resuming today’s second day on 278 for six, were dismissed for 320 and have since reduced T&T to 42 for two at the lunch break.
Teswayne Creary, who was 73 overnight, topscored for Jamaica with 77. His overnight partner, Doovan Nelson supported with 57 after resuming on 26.
John Campbell 55, Aldaine Thomas 39 and Bryan Gayle 33 were also among the runs. Derone Davis ended as the most successful bowler for T&T with five for 79 and Jovan Ali got four for 64.
Over at the Demerarra Cricket Club Barbados, leading reigning champions Windward Islands by 13 runs on first innings, reached 64 for two in their second innings at lunch break.
Scores in that game so far:- Barbaos 161 and 64 for two; Windward Islands 148.
Over at the Guyana National Stadium at Providence, hosts Guyana replying to Leeward Islands’ first innings total of 109 reached 171 for three at the interval.
