Under-23 footballers to intensify preparation
Jamaica’s National Under-23 football squad, which is preparing for its Olympic qualifiers in Suriname next month, is scheduled to play three practice games.
The squad returned to training on Monday and will remain in camp until the final 18-man squad is selected for departure on August 1.
The squad will journey to Brooks Park in Manchester tomorrow where they will face a Manchester High School squad, beginning at 3:30 pm.
The team will then tackle Seba United on Sunday at Jarrett Park at 4 pm and St Mary-based outfit Highgate at Gray’s Inn on July 27 at 3 pm in the afternoon.
Following the practice games, the Under-23 squad will turn its attention to the Olympic qualifiers in Suriname.
The young Reggae Boyz will play St Vincent and the Grenadines on August 3, Cayman Islands on August 5 and host national Suriname on August 7.
