Barbados is to identify a minimum set of economic rights to which CARICOM immigrants will be entitled under the freedom of movement provisions of the Single Market and Economy.

Prime Minister David Thompson said these provisions would be part of a nationally managed migration policy.

He said the basic human needs of migrants will also be provided for.

Access to education, health, national insurance, and other social services are reportedly being examined.
